Linear accelerators are used to create radiation to treat cancer, sterilise medical equipment and much more. They are also capable of generating lightning sculptures, officially known at 3D Lichtenberg figures, which are a unique and beautiful way to visualise the paths of electrons, and are used to demonstrate electron beam technology.
