This e-learning course was developed under the scope of the IAEA MEREIA Programme. The course offers practical guidance on approaches and methods for radiological environmental impact assessment.The course covers:Practical guidance on identifying and selecting methods for performing dose assessment for humans and non-human biota for planned radioactive discharges into the environment.Practical guidance on the selection of parameters to be used in dose assessment for humans and the non-human biota for different situations leading to radionuclides in the environment.Possibility to carry out a dose assessment for human and non-human biota for a specific scenario and to apply methods and parameters in a practical setting.Guidance on the evaluation of the results obtained and their application in different assessment contexts (e.g., performing a prospective assessment to set discharge limits, comparison with dose constraints during operation, etc.).Duration: 10 to 15 hours
